This was a lovely job we did for a customer. They originally had a gas fire but wanted to modernise and upgrade their system.

So how do we upgrade a gas fire?

For this particular job, we removed the gas fire and capped the gas pipe away from the chamber. We then removed existing brick work to find the original opening. The customer opted out of leaving the brickwork exposed, so that lead us to board the chamber walls for a smoother and modern finish. Plaster repair work was essential and then the installation could begin.

After the liner was fitted down the chimney and the hearth was installed we then moved on to connect the flue to the stove. This was then followed by a safety inspection which includes a smoke test to check the safety of the installation.

Once the job was complete a HETAS certificate of the installation was issued. This is essential to keep your home insurance valid and proof that your installation was completed by a HETAS registered installer.
